Hawaiʻi Children’s Theatre honors the life and legacy of our beloved Vice President, Melissa McFerrin Warrack, whose passion, vision, and generosity shaped the very heart of our organization.

Melissa’s family has requested that donations be made to Hawaiʻi Children’s Theatre in lieu of gifts — a reflection of how deeply she cared for this community and the young people we serve.

For many years, Melissa poured her creativity, optimism, and dedication into every part of HCT. She was the driving force behind HCT Academy and Summer Stars, programs that continue to inspire Kauaʻi’s youth through the joy of performance and collaboration. Her whole family participated in our productions, sharing her belief that theatre has the power to bring people together, spark confidence, and nurture creativity in every child.

Melissa only ever wanted the best for Kauaʻi’s keiki and community theatre. She dreamed of expanding our classes and opportunities so that anyone who could benefit from the arts would find a welcoming place at HCT.
