🎺 Trouble’s Coming to River City — and You’ll Love Every Minute of It!

Get ready for toe-tapping tunes, dazzling dance numbers, and heart-warming small-town charm — Hawaiʻi Children’s Theatre proudly presents The Music Man!

Join us November 21–30, 2025 at the Kauaʻi War Memorial Convention Hall for this beloved Broadway classic. Fast-talking Harold Hill marches into River City with a plan — but he just might find love (and a little redemption) along the way. With unforgettable songs like Seventy-Six Trombones and Till There Was You, this show is pure joy for audiences of all ages.

Directed and choreographed by Broadway veteran Carol Culver, the production features a shining cast of Kauaʻi favorites — including Jarhett Gaines as Harold Hill, Jacyn Fain as Marian Paroo, and an incredible ensemble of local talent.

SPECIAL BENEFIT SHOW FOR KAUAI FOOD BANKS:

Little Stars, Big Imagination – HCT Creative Play

Let your child’s imagination take center stage! Little Stars, Big Imagination is a joyful, nurturing introduction to the performing arts designed especially for young children. Through storytelling, movement, music, and make-believe, keiki explore the magic of theater in a fun, supportive environment that celebrates creativity and self-expression.

Each one-hour session is filled with games, character play, and artistic exploration—culminating in a playful final showcase for family and friends.

No experience needed—just a big imagination and a willingness to play!

 

Intro to Acting

Join us for an exciting week of creativity and fun at HCT’s Spring Break Theater Bootcamp!
Participants will dive into the world of theater with hands-on training in acting, singing, and dancing — all while building confidence, teamwork, and friendships that last.

In just one week, students will work together to create and perform a 45 minute stage production for family and friends!

No experience needed — just bring your imagination and get ready to shine under the lights!

Broadway Bound: Acting Through Song

Join visiting Broadway conductor and University of Michigan professor Jason DeBord for a dynamic, one-week musical theatre intensive. Designed for passionate young performers, this workshop explores how to act through song with clarity, confidence, and connection. Over five days, students will work on vocal coaching, lyric interpretation, and performance techniques—culminating in a casual showcase for family and friends.

Students will leave with two polished song cuts, a video of their final performance, and new tools to bring storytelling to life through music.
